My plantar fasciitis finally shows some improvement!! After months and months of pain... I'd credit this to consistent usage of plantar fasciitis sock (Strassburg sock) and my custom made orthotics. I managed to carry on to play with football and made sure only to wear supportive shoes. I also tried cortisone shots and I don't have the feeling that was the thing that cured my plantar fasciitis. Treating plantar fasciitis is a long process, I can talk from experience. Some people get lucky, but most of us, we will have to go through some serious pain.
Plantar Fasciitis Treatments That Helped Me Recover
Here are some treatments that helped me to finally reduce the pain. I can't say I'm completely cured but it's a good start. I'm certain that I will see even increased results in the close future. The treatment options I list by far is not exhaustive. Check out this website for more plantar fasciitis treatment options and tips.
Strassburg Sock: This user-friendly, cost-effective "apparatus" was made to reduce the tension in the tissue (plantar fascia) so it recovers in a stretched position during the nighttime. Clever right? This way you can decrease your healing time. When worn as promoted, it will not permit the plantar fascia whilst in the supine or prone posture to contract. The unit holds the forefoot and ankle joints in the perfect recovery position that is the least stressful on your feet. In addition the involuntary stretching of the plantar fascia overnight for a longer period of time helps to make your feet stronger.

Icing. Hold a fabric-covered ice pack on the region of pain for 15 to 20 minutes 3 or 4 times a day or after action (no matter, if running, a walk or less active sports). Routine ice massage will reduce inflammation as well as pain.
Stretching: Stretch your plantar fascia, Achilles tendon and calf muscles. It can help big time.
Orthodics: If you can get your hands on a pair of custom made orthodics, it might be a good investment. Some people really profit from orthodics while others don't feel any improvement.
In the end, you have to work through try and error and see what works for you. Some treatments might work wonders for others, but don't do anything for you. However, don't give up - I had to search for a few month until I found my set of plantar fasciitis treatments that worked for me, but I'm finally on my way to cure plantar fasciitis (hell yeah!).
